Bianca is a contemporary ceramicist known for her responsive and unpredictable sculptural vessels.
Based in Melbourne (Narrm) Australia, she draws inspiration from the colours and textures found in nature. Bianca's innovative glazing technique mirrors the organic forms of her sculptures. She creates the appearance of unstable works, with the layers of colour and glaze reinforcing their uncontrolled nature. Utilising earthenware clay as her primary medium, she embraces it's plasticity and ability to mimic the organic world. Her process involves a balance between control and spontaneity, allowing the clay to express its own character while guiding it towards a harmonious composition.
Bianca enjoys hiking in the Dandenong Ranges and swimming at Wilsons Promontory National Park when she's not in her studio. This exploration in nature informs her artistic vision and ceramic work.
Bianca is passionate about sharing her knowledge through pottery workshops, inspiring the next generation of ceramic artists.
I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
